By becoming a member of the Swedish Linnaeus Society you receive several privileges at the same time as you support our activities.
Membership includes the Yearbook, free entry to the Linnaeus Museum in Uppsala and a 20 per cent discount on all publications on the Society's booklist on sale from the Society and at the Linnaeus Museum.
Since the Society's foundation in 1917, the annual general meeting and the autumn meeting (May and November respectively) have been held, usually in Uppsala (Linnaeus Hammarby) and in Stockholm. At these meetings a lecture is given on a subject relevant to the Society's activities.
Excursions are arranged for members, following in the footsteps of Linnaeus' expeditions to Swedish provinces. So far, we have visited Västergötland, Öland, Gotland, Småland, Skåne and Bohuslän. We also visit parks and gardens with an eighteenth century character such as Ängsöö and Grönsöö by Lake Mälaren.
Each summer the Society arranges walks (Herbationes) along some of the excursion routes around Uppsala that Linnaeus himself used.
