Yearbook and dissertations
One of the main tasks of the Linnaeus Society is to publish writings
by and about Linnaeus and his disciples.
In The Swedish Linnaeus Society Yearbook (SLÅ)
papers are published that are connected with Linnaeus, his time
and his science. Both scientific and more popular essays are accepted
for publishing. The language is normally Swedish, but contributions
in English (and to some extent French and German) may be accepted.

The first issue of SLÅ came in 1918, and it is Sweden’s
oldest journal of its type. Members automatically receive the
Yearbook, and past issues may be bought, as long as stocks last.
An inventory of issues covering the years 1918-1985 has been published
and comprises registers of articles, images and persons. The register
of articles (not images or persons) it found under the link
Yearbook – register.
Selected dissertations
In the series Selected Dissertations by Carl Linnaeus, issued
in translation by the Swedish Linnaeus Society, 74 dissertations
have been published.
Publications in English and other languages
Publications from the Swedish Linnaeus Society are on sale at
the reception desk of the Linnaeus Museum (Linnaeus Museum) in
Uppsala.
Enquiries regarding publications in languages other than Swedish
should be directed to: info@linnaeus.se
