This symposium marks Linnaeus's 300th birthday with a diversity of presentations that place the man in his historical context and evaluate his herpetological legacy. Presentations will examine the lasting value of some of his contrubutions and the fleeting relevance of others. His influences, sources, and methods, as well as his impact on herpetological exploration, will be discussed.
