Full speed ahead for the Schools project
Around 420 schools have already applied to be Linnaeus schools, and many more have ordered the material for presenting school lessons around Linnaeus. The inspiration booklets 4 and 5 (“In the Footsteps of Linnaeus" and “Vital Foods") have been published during the summer, and the final booklet in the series will be published towards the end of autumn. The first booklet in the series has been translated into English and Japanese. A conference is being arranged in Falun on 29-30 September for all Linnaeus schools. This will mark the starting point for continued work within the Schools project.
An essay competition for upper secondary student is being held this autumn in collaboration with schools in Australia. The winners will visit each other´s countries and take part in a scientific expedition.
