Carl Linnaeus is probably the most internationally well-known Swede that has ever lived. This is being celebrated throughout Sweden, not least at universities and university colleges. The programme includes activities targeted at the general public, open lectures, scientific seminars and publications. Carl Linnaeus' major significance as a scientist is being emphasised throughout Sweden and his impressive lifetime achievements will be recounted from all possible perspectives.
