Uppsala University arranges an Internet-based course in English about Linnaeus´ life and sciences. The aim of the course is to give knowledge about the teacher and scientist Carl Linnaeus, from a scientific and historical point of view. Experts on botany, zoology, geology, medicine, history, literature and theology introduce Linnaeus´ different fields of research. The course also focuses on the person Carl Linnaeus, his family and his apostles.
The course runs part time (25 %) from September to January and corresponds to 5 weeks of full-time studies. The course is free of charge - there are no application or tuition fees. Uppsala University also arranges two similar courses in Swedish: An Internet-based course that runs part time from January to June, and a full time summer course in Uppsala.
