The logo of the tercentenary is based on a picture that was painted by the leading botanical artist of his day, Georg Dilnys Ehret. The painting illustrates Class 10 of the sexual system.

Linnaeus was an amazing person. Not only was he interested in how flowers have sex, he also wanted to know how the world works. He found the world to be a treasure chest full of treasure just waiting to be discovered.

We want to show during the Linnaeus Tercentenary that superstar Linnaeus is wild, cool, amazing, and everything else that superstars are supposed to be. He was a best friend to kings, travelled through unexplored wildlands, and was driven by curiosity about how nature worked.

It´s even better if you are a teacher visiting here, checking out material for a school project!
